How do you take action?

Effective planning is critical to your desired result. So, where do you
begin? Create a written workable plan that details expectations, focus, and
timeline. This serves as a permanent record and status checklist.

  1. Define the task – Determine what you want to accomplish
  2. Identify resources – Which resources are available and how best to utilize
  3. Consider alternatives – Choose best technique to get your message across
  4. Include a backup plan
  5. Provide time for overall evaluation

Have the courage to take action

Winston Churchill once wrote, “Courage is rightly considered the most
foremost of virtues, for upon it, all others depend.”

Action gets results which are crucial to long-term accomplishments. Avoid getting stuck in the planning phase and cultivate the will to act. Here are some tips to bolster your courage:

  1. Create the action habit
  2. Become proactive and execute your plan
  3. Keep your action plan on track
  4. Don’t overthink
  5. Develop the “doing mindset”

Make it happen

Leonardo Da Vinci says, “It had long since come to my attention that
people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them.
They went out and happened to things.”
